“The most labor-intensive and time-consuming part was ripping out the old flooring and tiling the floor with matte porcelain tile,” Cindi says. “That made a big difference in the space alone, and the tile I chose really modernized it.”
It was Cindi’s first time tiling and, although it came out wonderfully, she wasn’t expecting just how much of a messy, long process it was going to be. “There’s more prep, steps, labor, and dry time in between required than I expected,” she explained. “At the same time, since mortar is involved, I had to race against the clock as well while trying to be very precise. Tiling was the most stressful part for sure.”
